Arrival

We were greeted by a taiko drum performance in Miyazaki on our first day in the Kagoshima area.

The mayor of Miyazaki gave a short speech.

There were seven students including myself who stayed with a family in Kanoya.  Here, Manuel (Mexico), is planting a tree around a plaque with our names, nationality, and Japanese college name on it.  Everyone took turns planting.
